Hey everyone! I have a few anecdotes that won’t really fit together in one cohesive blog post, so I’d just like to share them here.
After Mass on Sunday…
Person: “Would you like some coffee or tea?”
Me: “I’ll have some tea, thank you.”
Person: “DID YOU HEAR THAT, EVERYONE?! AN AMERICAN ASKED FOR TEA! GET HER SOME IMMEDIATELY!!!”
I have become a regular to Catholic Society (CathSoc) events, as I am the only other person besides the officers who consistently shows up. I was really proud of that fact, but then someone made a comment that I show up to any events that have free food–oops. haha I can’t help that I love food! And they have GOOD food: cheesecake, fondue, cream tea…*sigh*
The other day my friends and I ordered pizza from Dominos, and we got garlic and herb sauce. I used this opportunity to teach my international friends the American way to pronounce “herb.” They kept practicing it, and I was so proud!
In the same vein, I was texting a friend the other day and asked her if she wanted to go to the “city centre.” She commended me on spelling it like a true Brit. Learning one step at a time 🙂
Thank you for reading and keeping up with my stories!
